Terry Johnson - Wenatchee’s Picasso
Terry Johnson has a painting that is always in progress. He has changed this painting several times and each time he changes it , it just gets better. Terry is Wenatchee’s Picasso (as some have called him).
He does most unusual pottery and painted many of the large sign’s along Washington’s highways for many years.
He was often working 60 feet above the ground on a narrow board walk.
There’s Terry painting one of several large signs
on the side of a cold storage building.
Terry paints beautiful portraits. He paints landscapes… (Ohme Gardens)...
Throws pots… He fires his own work.
You never know what he may come up with tomorrow.
Terry Sign’s was a popular place for business signs, and continues to be.
Terry is one of Wenatchee’s most prolific and well known artists.
Terry is truly a unique artist and perhaps could be called Wenatchee’s Picasso.
